— A small group of breeders, fanciers and exhibitors of the Golden Retriever. They accept Golden Retrievers directly from owners who don’t or can’t care for them anymore; acquire dogs from various pounds where they would otherwise be euthanized because their time at the shelter has run out; and will take dogs that are rescued from puppy mills or dogs that have simply been dumped.
