Acute Moist Pyoderma — “Hot Spots”
Hot Spots, or Acute Moist Pyoderma, are bacterial skin infections that can appear extemely rapidly. These can happen in any local area and either itch or create an inflammatory response. The dog may scratch, rub, lick or chew the area which, in turn, adds to the problem. Hot Spots should be treated at the onset in order to help prevent spreading to other areas.
